Aged Brunswick Lady is Called -
Death of Mrs. Erick Nelson Occurs Monday Morning at
Braham Hospital:
Mrs. Erick Nelson of Brunswick passed away at the
Braham hospital last Monday morningm, November 23,
having come to the high age of 83 years, 8 months and
21 days.
Anna Nelson, nee Erickson, was born in Ongermanland,
Sweden, on March 2, 1859, and there she grew up and
was united in marriage there to Erick Nelson on April 10,
1890. To this union were born six children, three sons and
three daughters. In the year 1892 they came to this
county coming here to Brunswick, where they settled on
a farm, and here she had resided ever since, with the
expection of the last six years when she had made her home
in the village of Brunswick.
She has been confined to bed most of the time for nearly
two years, and on Saturday, November 14, she was taken
to the Braham hospital, and there she passed away Monday,
morning, November 23.
She leaves to mourn her, the husband, Erick Nelson, and
the three surviving children: one daughters, Mrs. Samuel
Ross (Agnes) of Milwaukee, Wis., and the two sons, George
of Hopkins, Minnesota, and Leonard, whose wereabouts are
not known at this time; also two sons-in-law and one daugther
in-law; two brothers, one in Canada and one at Isle, Minnesota.
Two daughters have preceded her in death, Mrs. Oscar Tilden
(Mary) and Margaret, and the son, Henry.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Brunswick Baptist congregation
for many years, and took an active part there.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 27, at 1:15
from the
Erickson funeral home in Braham and at 2:00 from the Brunswick
Baptist church and interment in the Riverside cemetery at
Brunswick. Rev. Olof Lind will officiate. Rev. Vern Slater will
assist. pallbearers will be Arvid Oslund, Albert Oslund, Julius
Frisendahl, A. Holmber, John Boman and Andrew Sjolander.
